Creativity.
Creativity is the most individual of human traits, it is necessary for individual development. If man sets his hopes solely on changes in his social and economic environment, however indispensable these may be, he will only partially solve the problem of individual alienation. All progress made by men since the beginning of time has been the result of creativity. Creativity is also essential for society as a whole, a society whose maturity consists simply of acquiring more firmly established ways of doing things is headed for the graveyard even if it learns to do these things with greater and greater skill.
